Hello Hello!!

We were asked to make an estimate costing on the International Music Festival.

With this, we could even estimate on how much we will be making. (Profits $_$)

To our surprise, we will get an ROI of 7.463.
Which is around 746% !!
Madness, so this is how much a concert can earn!!

But all these are before deducting to our sponsors...etc...

Hello Hello!!

A mind map that we've created in an overall view of the International Music Festival.

Details may still change on the process of our project. ;)

Hello Hello!!

For the tutorial, we actually went to plan out the overall for our project.

We set our Objectives:

1. Let people get in touch with music of different genre and language.

2. A place for music lover/people with the same passion to gather at one place.

3. To promote Music culture

4. To celebrate the essence of music

5. Allow Singaporean to know music that is not so common in Singapore.

With a common objectives we hold on to, it will help us get a clearer view on how the project should go during all the planning and sketching.

We have also done an estimation of the budget for this project,

International Music Festival Costs
·         Paying the Band---$10000
·         Booking the Venue ---$20,000/day
·         Artise cost---$150000/artise
·         Advertising Costs---$60000
·         Equipment Rental ---$20000
·         Accommodation Costs---$30000
·         Ticket Printing---$5000
I will be doing on the Advertisement, therefore, I analysed out a series of advertisements we may need and the cost for each.
Estimated cost on Advertisement.

·         - Print media. Newspaper/Magazine Advertisements or in Teenage magazines, iWeekly. The estimated cost for this is $500 for a full page advertising in Teenage magazine.

·         - TV/Radio. Channel U/ Channel 8. The estimated cost for this is $4000 per month for a within 30 seconds short advertisement.

·         - Outdoor Advertisements, like billboards, Bus Ads, MRT Ads. The estimated cost for this is $500 for one poster size billboard in Cineleisure per month.

·         - Banner ad, on Facebook or Google. The estimated cost for this is $50 per month as rate charged are $0.35 per click

·         - Affiliate Marketing, putting small posters in HMV. The estimated cost for this is $50 per month.

·         Total amount on advertisement when all types are taken into consideration is $5100 per month.

Budgeting for a venue
Possible venues: Singapore Indoor Stadium, Fort Canning Park, Padang
As it is supposed to be a 7-day event, the cost of using any of these venues would cost probably around 1-2 million (rough estimate)
Pros n Cons

     Names
      Singapore Indoor Stadium

     Padang
     Fort Canning
     pros
      ·         Large and can  accommodate up to 15000
      ·         Indoors so no chance of being affected by bad weather

       ·         Open area, lots of open space.

     cons
      ·         Might cost a bomb
      ·     Get affected by bad weather

      ·         Too far

The budget for the Artist are before the reduction of sponsorship. This event is going to be an international event so we are expecting many sponsorship as this is also a good time to put their brand onto the stage in the concert.

Current Issues
1) What if it rains if it’s an outdoor concert?
2) What if there is a flight delay and the artist can’t reach in time?
3) What if there are a lot of left oven unsold concert tickets?
4) What if there is a Power surge in the mid of the concert?
5) What if we do not have much capital to hold the concert?
6) What if we can’t contact the artist?
7) Unable to sell most of the tickets
8) Clashing with public holidays
9) Terrorist attacks
10) Over passionate fans
11)Audience maybe going for the concert just for one particular band. After the band finishes the performance, audience might leave the venue, thus, un-respectful to other performers.
12)When the stage is badly planned, performers who are not used to the e.g. 360 degrees turning stage, may fall and hurt themselves.
13) If any particular genre of music is not well known in Singapore, people might not buy tickets and loss will be generated.
14) Fireworks on the stage may be too strong/hidden and burn the performers.
15)The floor might be slippery if in contact with water. Performer may slip and fall.
16)Seating planning must be carefully carried out to prevent overcrowding for audience.
*The ones in bold are the current issues that I have contributed in.

Hello Hello!!

My Group and I were asked to start brainstorming and come out with our project for this semester.

Benjamin then came out with the event, "International Music Festival".

Certainly it does sounds very fancy and glamorous.

It is also going to be very grand. ( If this is gonna be real.)

We have settled on splitting the workload to each members in the form of different genre.

Benjamin took : Broadway & Country
Haiqal took : Club music
Joel took : Chinese Pop
I took : Korean Pop & Japan Pop

I'm looking forward because my favorite thing, Music, was included in this project.

Whats more, Korean Pop!!

So our stage layout is out!!

The Secondary Stage has a circle in the middle where it dis-attach itself from the secondary stage and starts to rotate very slowly.

It's called the 360 degrees stage.

Performers would be able to interact with all the fans from 360 degrees without having to walk around.

So this is up till where we've come up with.
